 What is Lancers?
~Music in Motion!  A competitive activity that combines the best of athleticism, music, and dance. 
~A Community Services music and marching program open to ALL students in grades 8-12.
~A fun way to make new and lasting friends.
~A great opportunity to travel while developing community pride, spirit, and teamwork.

 The Purpose:
~To provide musical and marching training while promoting an attitude of pride, spirit and teamwork.
~To represent District 77 and the Greater Mankato Area with excellence, in Minnesota and throughout the United States and Canada.
~To give all interested District 77 students and aesthetic, enriching experience, one that is both educational and social.
~To gain a lifelong appreciation for music and people.

The Mission:
The mission of the Lancers is to teach life lessons while pursuing excellence in the ultimate team sport of music in motion. Young adults experience enjoyment while combining the best of athletics and the arts.

The Lancer Goal is to be the best summer marching band program, both on and off the street, in the state of Minnesota and the nation.

Lancer Registration
Registration for the Mankato Area 77 Lancers Marching Band is handled through the Mankato Community Education and Recreation department at www.mankatocer.com click on Community Education, then click on Youth Development, the tab for Lancers is on the left hand side of the page!  Registration forms will be available in the winter 2012 in the Community Ed Winter program book or at www.mankatocer.com

You must be in grade 8 through 12 during the current school year to register. Registration fee is $165.00 for District 77 residents and $180.00 for non-residents. If you have any questions about registration, please call Community Education at 387-5501.
